O Lord, on this most solemn Good Friday morning, I come in quiet reverence to adore the Cross. I behold it, the instrument of my salvation, and stand in awe of the infinite love displayed there. My heart is heavy with sorrow for my sins, the very sins that made Your perfect sacrifice necessary. Forgive me, Lord. Grant me the grace, I pray, to unite my own small sufferings with Yours, that they may find meaning in Your Passion. I lift up the whole world for which You died. Have mercy on us all, and draw every heart to Your wounded side. In my sorrow, I cry with the Psalmist: "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?" Yet even here, I trust in Your redeeming work. Thank You for the Cross, the price of my redemption. In Jesus' name, Amen.
