Good morning, Father. As this Saturday dawns, I come to You with a heart full of the week’s busyness. I ask You to calm my mind, to help me release the mental lists and the lingering tasks. Quiet my spirit, Lord, and draw me into Your stillness. I want to prepare my heart for worship tomorrow. Cleanse me of any distraction or weariness, so I might come before You with reverence and joy. Fill me with a spirit of holy expectancy, to truly meet with You and Your people. Grant me, and my family, a truly restful Sabbath—a deep soul-rest that reorients us to You. As the Psalmist says, “Return to your rest, O my soul, for the Lord has been good to you.” Let this day be a peaceful anticipation of that goodness, a gentle preparation to receive Your Word anew. In Jesus Name Amen.
