As the quiet of this Saturday evening settles around me, I come before You, Lord. I look back on the week that has passed, examining my thoughts, my words, and my deeds. Please cleanse me, Father. Wash away all that has been selfish or careless, and create in me a clean heart. Remove from me now all disturbances, the noise of the world’s entertainment and the clutter of my own mind. Help me to prepare a quiet and attentive heart, a heart ready to be still and know that You are God. Stir within me a true and deep longing for Your Word and for the sacred fellowship of worship. I lift up to You tomorrow’s gathering. Prepare the heart of the speaker, anoint the worship, and bless the fellowship among Your people. May we meet with You in spirit and in truth. “Be still, and know that I am God.” Let this truth anchor my soul tonight as I turn my heart toward Your day. In Jesus Name Amen.
