Letting go of Wednesday’s weight... Find a comfortable position, lying down or propped up in bed... Let your body settle... and simply notice your breath as it is... the natural rhythm of in... and out... Now, gently begin to deepen it... Inhale slowly through your nose... and exhale even longer through your mouth... letting out a soft sigh... Pause in the stillness after the release... Again, slow inhale... long, releasing exhale... and a quiet pause... Place a hand gently on your belly... Breathe into that space, feeling your hand rise with the inhale... and fall with the exhale... Let your belly be soft... releasing any held effort from the middle of your week... Now, let the breath expand into your chest... Feel your ribs widen on the inhale... and soften completely on the exhale... Releasing the mental lists, the tasks now complete or waiting for tomorrow... Bring your awareness to your shoulders and neck... areas that often carry the day's tension... On your next exhale, let them soften... let them drop away from your ears... Imagine the midweek pressure dissolving like ice melting into a stream... From your shoulders, allow this softening to travel down... through your arms and hands... your spine and back... your hips and legs... all the way to your feet... A wave of release, flowing downward... letting the solidity of the day melt into the support beneath you... In this stillness, remember the gentle promise: *"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."* Let that invitation be your anchor now... Rest here in this quiet space... between what was and what will be... The active energy of Wednesday is complete... You are simply here... breathing... at peace... When you're ready, gently bring a small movement back to your fingers and toes... carrying this calm with you into a restful night...
