Let your breath soften and deepen here... releasing any held effort from the day... Now, let your awareness rise to your chest... Feel your ribs expand softly with each inhale... and soften completely with each exhale... A Tuesday often carries the momentum of the week's beginning... Release any residue of its busy energy here... Let your heart center soften... Bring your attention to your shoulders and neck... On your next exhale, let any tension there melt away... Feel the weight of responsibility, of tasks held or anticipated, begin to dissolve... Your shoulders drop... your neck lengthens... Allow this softening to travel down through your body... Your arms and hands grow heavy and relaxed... Your spine settles... Your hips and legs release their holding... All the way down to your feet... A full, gentle surrender from head to toe... Rest in this deep stillness... In the quiet space between effort and rest... "Be still, and know..." Let everything simply be as it is... You have done enough for today. When you are ready, begin to deepen your breath once more... Gently wiggle your fingers and toes... And as you transition to sleep, carry this peace with you... The meditation is complete.
