As the light of this Saturday fades, I come before You now, Lord. I look back on the week that has passed. Please examine my thoughts, my words, and my deeds. Forgive where I have fallen short, and cleanse me with Your grace. Remove from my heart all the noise and disturbances of the world’s entertainment, and help me to prepare a quiet and receptive heart for You. I ask for a true and deep longing—a hunger for Your Word and a joy in worship. Stir within me a spirit of genuine anticipation for gathering with Your people. Please be with tomorrow’s speaker, anointing their words. Bless the worship and the fellowship, that we may meet with You. “Be still, and know that I am God.” Help me to rest in that truth tonight, to lay aside all else and simply know You. In Jesus Name Amen.
