Letting go of Wednesday’s weight... Find a comfortable position, lying down or seated... and gently close your eyes. Begin by simply noticing your breath... the natural rhythm of air entering... and leaving your body... No need to change it... just observe. Now, let’s gently deepen the breath... Inhale slowly through your nose... and exhale even longer through your mouth... letting out a soft sigh... Pause in the stillness after the exhale... Inhale slowly... exhale longer... and pause... Place a hand gently on your belly... As you breathe in, feel your belly softly rise... As you breathe out, feel it gently fall... Your breath is a gentle wave... washing through the center of your being... Now, let the breath expand into your chest... Feel your ribcage widen with the inhale... and soften completely with the exhale... Releasing any tightness held around your heart... Bring your awareness to your shoulders and neck... areas that often carry the midweek burden... On your next exhale, imagine any tension there melting away... like warm wax softening and dripping down your back... Let your shoulders drop away from your ears... Now, let this softening travel down through your body... Your arms grow heavy and relaxed... Your spine settles into full support... Your hips and legs release their holding... All the way down to your feet... feeling the gentle, downward release of the day... In this stillness, remember the promise: *“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”* Let that invitation be your anchor now. Rest here in this quiet peace... Your body is soft... your mind is calm... You have navigated the middle of the week. When you are ready, gently bring a small movement back to your fingers and toes... and slowly open your eyes, carrying this stillness with you into your rest.
